1943 Omega British Military - Army Issue

A very fine condition stainless steel  Swiss mens WW2 British Military issue, Officer's Omega wrist watch in very good original condition dating to 1943. This is guaranteed to be a genuine Swiss Omega WW2 issue men's wrist watch, and the watch is fully marked on the case as such and in excellent condition.

The list includes pocket, wrist, and stop watches. Note also, that there was a provision for watches produced before 1940 to be retroactively marked if they were serviced. THE DIAL: 100% mint, the black dial with black Arabic numerals and signed "Omega" with military arrow. Dial with cathedral style steel hands and a subsidary seconds hand. Diameter is 30 mm. The new crystal is also in excellent condition.





THE MOVEMENT:  100% mint, with typical Omega rhodium finished plates. The watch with a compensated regulator and two arm  bimetallic balance, with Breguet overcoiled hairspring and no shock protection to the balance.  The movement fully signed "Omega", and with 15 jewels and subsidary seconds. The watch with a steel winding button. The movement is an Omega 30 T2  calibre.  The watch clearly made for Military use, and designed to meet the Mk 7 and 8 specifications as laid down for these high grade 30T2 Omega movements and with clear military and the number is 9,884,xxx (dates the watch to 1944) and presumably runs for 30-36 hours. The watch is a classic example of very high grade WW2 Omega engineering.



The CASE: 100% mint, the stainless steel 3-piece case measures 34 mm outside diameter, and 45 mm to ends of lugs. The front  cover is excellent and the screw on stainless steel rear cover closing very tightly. The inside of case with the "Dennison Watch Company mark and the case number of 13322 and 6323.   The case has not been restored, just given a gentle clean and polish and in very fine original condition. The watch comes with a new leather watch band and a new blue leatherette presentation box as shown.
