A mint condition solid 9k gold Swiss mens automatic Garrard wrist watch in very good original condition dating to 1973, with a high grade 25 jewelled automatic movement. This is guaranteed to be a genuine Swiss Garrad men's wrist watch, and the watch is fully marked on the case as such and in excellent condition, with an Esso long service award dedication to reverse of case.
THE DIAL: 100% mint, the brushed satin silver dial with gold and black baton markers and signed "Garrard, automatic", and in bright condition. Dial with gold dauphine hands. Diameter is 30 mm. The new crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with silver steel plates and finely engraved balance cock. A shiny blued steel Bosely regulator, and ruby endstone setting, blue steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with overcoiled hairspring. The movement working very well indeed and with 25 jewels and auto-rotor to centre. The watch with gold colored winding crown.
THE CASE: 100%, solid 9k gold case measures 34 x 41 mm outside diameter. The front cover is excellent and the screw on solid 9k gold rear cover closing very tightly. The case with 9k and 0.375 gold hall marks and London hall-mark. The watch with Esso dedication to rear cover. The substantial case in excellent condition. Please note that we do not re-polish cases to give a new look, as this often results in surfaces and edges being abraded as is so often happens. The watch comes with a new leather watch band and a leatherette presentation box to store the watch when not in use.
