A mint and rare stainless steel Swiss mens early 1970's classic Tissot Navigator wrist watch with an automatic movement and date and moveable outer bezel. The watch has just been fully serviced and overhauled by my watch-maker, and is keeping excellent time. This is guaranteed to be a genuine Swiss Tissot automatic men's wrist watch, in excellent condition. The watch being automatic ,winds automatically whilst on the wrist.
THE DIAL: 100% mint, the original black dial with silver/black baton markers and signed "Tissot Swiss, Navigator, Automatic". Dial with white hands and centre seconds hand and date box. Diameter is 30 mm. The new crystal is also in excellent condition. The outer navigator bezel in fully working order, with several marks as shown.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with typical rhodium plates. The watch with a compensated regulator and two arm bimetallic balance, with overcoiled hairspring. The movement fully signed "Tissot", and with 25 jewels and an auto rotor, the grade below the chronometer, so high quality work. The watch with subsidary seconds. The watch with a steel domed winding button. The movement is a Tissot 25 jewel, 2481 calibre. The watch is a classic example of very high grade Tissot engineering.
THE CASE: 100%, the stainless steel case measures 37 mm outside diameter, and 40 mm to ends of central lugs. The front cover is excellent, minor wear on one edge, and the screw on stainless steel rear cover closing tightly. The inside of case with the "Cha. Tissot & Fils" and the case number of 44940-xx. The watch comes with a new full size cavas band, and a blue leatherette presentation box as shown. This is a high quality Swiss mens Tissot watch, in crisp condition and of fabulous quality.
