A mint and large sized, solid silver, key-wind Swiss cylinder pocket watch with a very rare full color enamel dial, and keeping good time for a 100 year old pocket watch. The watch just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker. This is a beautifully made pocket watch, dating from the 1860's.
THE DIAL: 100% mint, the colored enamel dial with raised Arabic numerals and in bright condition with no chips or hairlines. The dial with fine gold spade hands and subsidary seconds. Diameter is 35 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with a gilded three quarterplate and a Bosely regulator, and blue steel screws. An uncut three arm balance, with hairspring and cylinder escapement. The movement overall of very good quality. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping good time for a 150 year old watch.
THE CASE: 100%, the solid silver case measures an impressive 39 mm. The front and rear covers are excellent, both are hinged and close nice and tightly. The case in very crisp and clean condition, most unusual for this type of case. This is a high quality watch, a work of art in its own right in crisp condition. The case with Swiss hall-marks and silver marks.
