The movement overhaul in superb order showing little wear and excellent gilding to the plates and dust cover. The movement unsigned and number 4784

THE CASE: 100% mint, the very substantial and original solid silver drum shaped case measures an impressive 53 mm outside diameter. The hinges are excellent with the case covers all closing tightly, and the bow is original to the case. The watch case with Chester hall marks and sterling stamps. This is a very good quality case, with a fine ribbed case band. The case with the silver sponsor mark of " R. G." and number of 4784 matching the movement. The top pendant and bow also in fine condition. The rear cover pops open when the top pendant button is firmly depressed and the rear hinge nice and tight. The inner dust cover with a few small scratches and the rear cover with rubbed rose engine turning. This is a high quality and very rare watch, a work of art in its own right in crisp condition. This watch has clearly had a sheltered life and was kept just for "Sunday Best", hence its fine overall condition.
