A very fine condition solid silver hi-grade 15-jewelled pocket watch by the famous Swiss Watch Company, Zenith. The watch recently serviced and overhauled by my watch-maker and keeping very good time indeed. The watch movement of very high grade, being finely gilded, of 15 jewels, with a gilded centre wheel. This is a beautifully made keyless-wound man's pocket watch, dating from the early 20th century. The watch is clearly marked sterling silver. The watch is in full working order and comes complete with a presentation box.
THE DIAL: 95% mint, the satin silver dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with a few fine marks. The dial with fine silver hands and subsidary seconds hand. Diameter is 44 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with with finely gilded plates and a shiny steel regulator, and steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with hairspring and club tooth lever escapement. The movement of good quality and with 15 jewels, signed "Zenith" and number of 4,4346, with a gilded centre wheel. Many of the jewels are set into 9k gold chatons held in place by screws, a very good sign of quality. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping excellent time and just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker. The watch movement is a very fine and clean example of the Zenith calibre 18.28 and further marked "Swiss Made".
THE CASE: 100% mint, the solid silver case measures 48 mm. The front and rear covers are excellent, both are hinged and close nice and tightly. The inner solid silver dust cuvette in excellent condition. The case with sterling silver marks, Swiss hall-marks. The top bezel and rear cover in very fine and crisp order. The watch with case number of 260,617. This is a high quality solid silver watch, a work of art in its own right in crisp condition and of jewel like quality. This watch has clearly had a sheltered life and was most likely kept just for "Sunday Best", hence its mint and immaculate condition.
