A mint condition solid 9k gold hi-grade 15-jewelled half-hunter cased pocket watch by the famous watch-makers, Waltham of America. This is a beautifully made keyless-wound solid 9k gold half-hunter pocket watch, made in ca. 1922.
THE DIAL: 97% mint, the ivory enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with no chips and two faint hairline. The dial with fine blue steel spade hands. Diameter is 39 mm. The inner crystal is also in excellent condition and retained securely.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with a damasced three quarter plate and a micro-adjustment cam-regulator, and blue steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with hairspring and lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time for a 110 year old watch. The watch with movement number 23,993,xxx and fully signed, Waltham, Mass.
THE CASE: 98% mint, the solid 9k gold case measures an impressive 45 mm. The front and rear covers both close nice and tightly and the hinges are all in good tight order. The case fully marked for A. L. Dennison Watch Case Company (ALD), 9k and 0.375 gold hall marks and a Birmingham hall mark. The rear cover with a few tiny dings to surface. The top cover pops open when the pendant button is depressed, and in fine condition. The top cover with deep blue enamelled chapter ring in fine order.The watch comes with a new wooden presentation box to store the watch when not in use.
