A mint and large sized, 14k gold filled, key-less wind American Waltham "Riverside " grade 17 jewelled pocket watch in a hunter case, and keeping excellent time. The watch fully signed to the movement and in a high grade 14k gold filled case.
The watch just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker and keeping very good time for a 110 year old pocket watch. This is a beautifully made man's pocket watch, and a practical daily time-keeper. he watch is in full working order and comes complete with a presentation box.
THE DIAL: 100% mint, , the ivory enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with no chips or hairline. The dial with fine blue steel spade hands. Diameter is 44 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint,with a gilded three quarter plate and a micro-adjustment cam-regulator, and blue steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with hairspring and lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time for a 110 year old watch. The watch with movement number 6,555,xxx and fully signed, Waltham, Mass, and Riverside, 17 jewels.
THE CASE: 100% mint, the solid 14k gold filled case measures an impressive 52mm. The front and rear covers both close nice and tightly and the hinges are all in good tight order. The case fully marked for A. L. Dennison Watch Case Company (ALD), with best grade of 25 years guaranteed and 14k gold filled. The top cover pops open when the pendant button is depressed, and in fine condition. The case with a nicely ribbed case band and delicate engraved surfaces to case front and back, with a vacant shield and garter to top cover.
