A near mint condition metal cased, forces hi-grade 22-jewelled pocket watch by the famous watch-makers, Hamilton of America. This is a beautifully made keyless-wound pocket watch, made in ca. 1942. The watch movement of the highest quality with 22 jewels, set into gold chatons and beautifully damesced plates. This watch with the rare full minute, 1-60 option rarely seen and guaranteed original to the movemetnt and case. The watch recently cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker and in good order and keeping excellent time
THE DIAL: 97% mint, the ilver-gray finished dial with black Arabic numerals and in bright condition with a few very light marks. The dial with fine blue steel spade hands and centre seconds handDiameter is 47 mm. The origial heavy bevelled crystal is also in excellent condition and retained securely.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with a damasced three quarter plate and a micro-adjustment cam-regulator, and blue steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with hairspring and lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality and measure 42 mm. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time. The watch with movement number C46663 and fully signed, Hamilton Watch Company, USA and grade 4992B and 22 jewels, with six adjustments. Several of the wheels are clearly gold plated and several jewels held in palce in chatons.
THE CASE: 100% mint, the base-metal case measures an impressive 53 mm. The front and rear covers both close nice and tightly and are of the screw-on type. The case fully marked for "KeyStone, Base-Metal" and case number of "889,421" The front and rear covers, with nicely knurled finish to edge to allow for a firm grip when closing or opening.The watch comes with a new wooden presentation box to store the watch when not in use.
