A mint and rare condition stainless steel Swiss mens vintage Omega SeaMaster wrist watch, dating from 1947. The watch with a stunning stainless steel case and high grade 15 jewelled movement, the watch with a satin silver and gold dial. The watch has just been fully serviced and overhauled by my watch-maker and is keeping excellent time. The watch is clearly marked Omega to dial, button, movement, and in its original case.
THE DIAL: 100% mint, the satin silver dial with gold Arabic numerlas, luminous dot markers, and signed "Omega Seamaster". Dial with cathedral hands and centre seconds hand. Diameter is 27 mm. The new crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with typical Omega silver steel colored plates. The watch with a compensated regulator and two arm bimetallic balance, with overcoiled hairspring. The movement fully signed "Omega", and with 15 jewels. The watch with its original domed steel Omega stamped button. The movement is an Omega 23.4 SC calibre and the number is 11,067,xxx (dates the watch to 1945). The watch is a stunning example of high grade Omega engineering.The watch is much brighter and crisp than in these dark photos, which are limited by my camera and lighting equiment. The watch is in very excellent working order for its age.
THE CASE: 98% mint, the stainless steel case measures 30 mm outside diameter, and 38 mm to ends of lugs. The front cover is excellent and the screw on stainless steel rear cover closing tightly. The watch case overall in very fine order, with a few fine scratches to rear cover. The inside of case with the "Omega Watch Co" triangular mark and the case number of 237x.xxx. The watch comes with a new high quality leather watch band and a new red leatherette presentation box as shown.
